This blog is just going to be a quick catch up because it's moving day tomorrow and I haven't really got much to add to the previous 5 episodes that I've already posted while we've been here!

We've got very ITCHY feet - and no, we haven't got athlete's foot - it's just that we're more than ready to move on and have new pastures to explore!!!  We've been parked up here at Monmar Camping for the last 6 weeks and in that time we've cycled a little over 500 miles, and as we usually only go somewhere within a 25 mile radius you will understand that we have more or less explored every inch that is available to us more than once!  But that isn't to say we haven't enjoyed being here in this lovely area that is right next to the beautiful sparkling Med, and where easy access is also available to loads of roads and tracks that pass through miles of open countryside as well as enchanting orange, almond and olive groves.

Our Pitch
However, we've mostly had to sort out our own entertainment because the Stewards who run this Rally aren't really engaged or committed to organising activities.  Each week the info blackboards always remain unchanged, and even though outings for weekly bike rides and walks are organised it's always to the same place - so mostly we've abstained from joining in!

Happily, John is very good at identifying new routes that we can follow but I think maybe he wasn't expecting to enter into any '🏮Red Light Districts🏮' which we stumbled into along one particular  road! Here, within the depths of the orange groves, there were regular appearances of quite a few 'Ladies of the Night' or should that be 'Ladies of the Day' sitting beside the road often dressed in fish net tights, high heels and short skirts waiting to ply their trade.  Unfortunately this is a fairly common sight in rural Spain, and as we cycled on our way the odd slow moving car seemed to indicate that at least some of them would have customers.

Millions of oranges everywhere you look
I'm not sure what this is a sculpture of
but it was quite striking!
Muntanyeta De Sant Antoni from the bottom of the hill
Loads of Herons and Little Egrets feeding on frogs!

The Greenwich Meridian at Almassora
Tomorrow (Monday) we're moving about 150 miles North to a place called VillaNova which is quite close to Barcelona.  We're staying there for 30 nights, and after that, we'll be making our way back to Blighty (and our home town of Ripley) where we'll be reunited with all our family and friends.  However, although we're very much looking forward to that, we've hopefully got a few more adventures to have before we get there.

 Bye for now😙😙
