Happy 7th Birthday Thomas (for the 16th)!  Hope you had a fantastic day and that Mummy didn't feed you too much Chocolate Cake for breakfast!!!

Missing you loads ๐Ÿ˜™๐Ÿ˜™
I usually quite enjoy writing this blog, but at the mo (mostly because we're more or less stationary for long periods) it's getting quite difficult to find interesting things to write about!  However, that's not to say we're not savouring our time here, and much of it has been spent pottering out and about, either on foot or on our bikes and socialising with our neighbours.  And who wouldn't enjoy the sunny days (that have become a bit cooler of late - about 16 degrees) and the gorgeous Mediterranean coast that is only about 5 mins away from T4rdis2's door.  And additionally we've also burnt the candle at both ends and occasionally enjoyed more 'Lively Do's' down at the campsite bar๐Ÿท๐Ÿท๐Ÿป๐Ÿป- but we didn't manage to win this week's quiz๐Ÿ˜ž

Parts of the prom that we regularly cycle along!
We've been out riding through the many miles of orange groves where the pungent smell of the fruit fills the air with a wonderful citrus aroma.

And the ones that we scrump taste divine when plucked from the trees!
We've enjoyed picnics in the a small nature reserve at the nearby town of Nules where we were overlooked by myriads of cormorants and watched by the colourful chap below!

He looks a like a bit of an Angry Bird
We've also ventured slightly further afield through several miles of rice paddies where we indulged in a bit of bird spotting, and in only a relatively small area we managed to spot quite a few winged creatures that we might or might not site within Blighty's shores.

A beautiful iridescent Kingfisher who we've spotted a
couple of times  in the same area.
A Little Egret out doing a spot of
fishing for his tea

And several very cute
Reed Warblers

Loads of spotless starlings who quite
reminded us of Alfred Hitchcock's film
'The Birds'

Additionally we've spent time with our mates Jack and Liz and we're all getting quite good at the game of Tri-dominoes (my pressie from Secret Santa), and in the near future Liz has promised to teach us how to play the intricate game of Crib!  That is if we're all capable because our afternoon gaming sessions are usually accompanied by a little tipple of a local brew called Thunder Bitch - a potent concoction of Canadian whisky, chilli and cinnamon!  And to soak that up we've also indulged in generous portions of Liz's gorgeous Christmas Cake๐Ÿ˜‹

Today (Tuesday) we went off out on our bikes (with our mates) for a little 30 mile round trip to the coastal town of Sagunto where we visited  a Chinese Restaurant, and feasted deliciously cancelling out the need for any tea - thus giving me plenty of time and no excuse for not updating this blog!   But I'v also got a bit of TV catching up to do so that's about all for now.

But just before I go I've got a few extra pics

One of the many cats who prowl on the sea front!

A beautiful Spanish House with Cupids and a Witch on the top

Crabs - but I don't think you'd get much meat from one of these!
